Sheri and Wes (Louisiana)

Hello! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to introduce ourselves. We are Sheri and Wes. We live in the wonderful state of Louisiana. We are excited beyond belief to welcome your unborn child into our family. Please feel free to read our profile to get to know us better!

Dear Expectant Mother,
We are ecstatic you chose to read a little more about us! Let us begin by saying that we commend you for making the most difficult decision in your life. It must be very frustrating trying to "pick out a family" that seems to be the best fit for your unborn child. We are not going to try to "woo" you with words, but we are going to try to give you some insight on what our life is like.

We think you will be happy to know that we are excited beyond belief that we are going to become parents! We live in a suburban area located on the outskirts of Baton Rouge. We love that we are basically in the country, but can be in the city within 10 minutes. We live in a gated community on a Lake. We have lots of ducks and fish. You can step off the back deck, get in our flat boat and go fishing!

We do not have any children of our own. It has been a difficult journey just waiting and waiting to see if "we" are pregnant. Unfortunately, after years of trying to conceive, we are still childless. We have come to the conclusion, that all children are gifts from God, whether it came from our body or not. Souls are not created by man is the way we see it.

With that being said, thank you again for considering us throughout this journey. We can only promise you that your child will have a world of opportunity. The love we have to share is priceless! We will offer love, security, respect, and freedom. We believe in discipline, meaning you must work hard to achieve your goals. We believe that education is the key. Our promise to you is to make sure your child will get the best education possible. We are going to dedicate our lives making sure this happens.

Oh, another exciting this is, this child will be the only grandchild on my (Sheri's) side of the family and the 2nd grandchild on Wes's side of the family. Can you say "spoiled"!!!! Christmas will never be the same. LOL!! That is what we are all praying and hoping for. We cannot wait to add this beautiful new addition to our family.

In closing, it is impossible to tell you everything about us in a paragraph. Please continue to read about us and if all you get out of reading about us are a few laughs, then we are ok with that too.

Sheri
I am a Pediatric Registered Nurse. I work in a Kid-Med clinic. I offer preventative medicine and wellness screens to "all my kids" as I call them. I absolutely love my job. I guess I get kind of depressed at times because when I leave for work to go home, I do not have my own child to take care of. I often ask God why have you given me the strength and the knowledge to be a Pediatric Nurse, but have not given me a child of my own? I then tell myself, he has a plan. With this, I can only be strong because I know I will be a mother soon enough.

In closing, I would like to tell you about my husband Wes. I have to say that he is the most gorgeous, generous, compassionate, romantic man I have EVER met. We met while I was in nursing school in the doctor's office where I was working. I actually made his appointment on the telephone. So, I heard his voice before I ever met him. It was truly an instant attraction. We have been not been apart since. He is continuously saying that he cannot wait to become a father. He is so excited. He wrote me a 3 page letter the other morning...I am going to share with you some of the things he said....Hey my beautiful (this is how the letter started) I am lying on the sofa watching cops. I am just thinking about our lives. I am thinking of how it is going to be when I become a father. I want to decorate "the room" so badly, but I am afraid of it being empty as the days pass. I believe God will bless us. I think about going on a picnic, to Wal-Mart, watching his/her little cheeks light up when given a toy, putting a tad of mustard on it's tongue watching him/her make cute little faces...... Well, the letter continues but I should stop writing so I won't run out of room.

Again, I just want you to know that any child would be blessed to have Wes as a father.

Wes
I am a Sales Manager at a Ford Dealership. I have a great job. I work long hours at times, but I am very committed to making sure my family is taken care of. I cannot wait to be a father.

I want to tell you about Sheri, my wife. I have to say that I think she is the most beautiful, smart, compassionate woman I have ever met. She is wonderful with children. I cannot wait to see her with our own child. I have this vision in my head of her rocking the baby to sleep, feeding time, singing bedtime songs. She has the most beautiful relaxing voice. She has a karaoke sound system and just sings her little heart out. I love to sit and listen. When I think of my mother, I think of my wife. In saying that, the two of them are alike in so many ways. They are gifted and compassionate are just a few things that come to mind. In closing, I just want to tell you, Sheri will be the best mother you could ask for. That is a promise I will keep forever.

About Us
We would like to close with telling you a little bit more about us and our relationship. We were married April 12th 2003 but have been together since March 13th 2001. We have wonderful families. Every New Years Eve we go to Wes's Aunt and Uncle's house on the Tangipahoa river. The whole neighborhood is invited. We cook, eat, and socialize. The local newspaper guy is always there taking pictures for the Ponchatoula Times. Christmas Eve we spend at my grandmother's house.

Christmas day we eat dinner with Wes's mother, spend some of the day with my family, and then Christmas night we get together and sing. My fist cousin Scott has his Master's Degree in Music. He plays the piano, and we sing until about midnight. We have the best time.

We cannot wait to wake up Christmas morning and open presents. We are dreaming of the time we get to bake cookies for Santa Clause, and leave money for the tooth fairy. We love to have friends and family over to watch LSU football games. It will be so much fun playing dress up in either a purple and gold cheerleading outfit with pigtails, or a LSU jersey and baseball cap! We are so excited when the child is old enough, we can go ATV riding through the beautiful wooded trails in Mississppi, roast marshmellows by the camp fire and drink hot chocolate. Homework, bath time, reading books, and saying our prayers are the most simple but beautiful things we are looking forward to. Strolling around the Lake on a warm night and listening to the crickets is going to be the best!

Wes and I love to travel. We have been to Jamaica, Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, Cozumel, San Francisco, and Lake Tahoe. Every year we are invited by some friends of ours to spend a week on the Nantahala River in North Carolina. Our favorite things to do is spend the weekends in New Orleans. We live an hour and a half away. The city is just full of culture.

Last but not least, we have our Abby and Jack. Abby is our toy poodle, and Jack is our teacup yorkie. These little guys are the best. They cannot wait to have a little one to play with.

In closing, we would like to thank you again for wanting to learn more about us. If you would like to meet us, talk with us, please send me an e-mail. We are looking forward to meeting you.

We would like you to know that whatever type of open relationship you choose to have with us and your baby will be a blessing. Homework, bath time, reading books and prayers at night are the most simple but beautiful things that we cannot wait to share.
